Puerto Rico voted in Governor Luis Fortuno and Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi in 2008. Both Governor Luis Fortuno and Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi were elected into their respective offices for the first time and to four year terms, so the next elections for the two new incumbents will be in 2012, when candidates for the Presidency are once again likely to visit.
