1. When and how did you become Christian?
Bert Copple: "I became a Christian when I was a younger child. My father led me in the sinner’s prayer one night at church, and like most teens attending youth camps growing up, I probably rededicated my life to Christ a few hundred times."
2. How did becoming Christian change you?
Bert Copple: "To be honest, I can’t remember not being a Christian. I was raised both Roman Catholic and Pentecostal because my parents divorced when I was very young. Every other weekend was a religious culture clash, and I gained a great appreciation for both the traditional and the free flowing types of services and religious practices."
3. How would you describe your relationship with Jesus today?
Bert Copple: "Personal and in-depth. I’m a pastor and chaplain, so if my relationship with Jesus isn’t right, I can’t effectively do my job."
4. In the past 12 months, how many minutes have you spent in prayer with Jesus daily?
Bert Copple: "Prayer is a necessary part of having a relationship with Jesus Christ."

Bert Copple: "Bible study is a necessary part of having a relationship with Jesus Christ."

Bert Copple: "Tithing, in my opinion, is an act of worship, and I adhere to this practice."

Bert Copple: "Evangelism is an act of worship, and a command given by Christ in the Gospel."

Bert Copple: "I’m an associate pastor for a church in Roseville, Michigan. Missing church isn’t always an option."

Bert Copple: "None."

Bert Copple: "Against."

Bert Copple: "They should be allowed but not forced nor prevented."

Bert Copple: "We live in the world, but we are not of the world. Encourage use of internet filters, on-line accountability programs, and television and movie ratings."

Bert Copple: "Encourage the church to fulfill its mandate to care for the sick."

Bert Copple: "Encourage the church to fulfill its mandate to care for the poor and homeless."

Bert Copple: "Encourage pulling back in Iraq and finishing the job in Afghanistan."

Bert Copple: "Continued economic sanctions and supporting Israel in her right to defend herself."
29. What other issue is a key priority for your constituents and how will you resolve it?
Bert Copple: "We need investment opportunities within our district to generate jobs. I’ll work to network and market my district’s promising and ready to work skilled labor force to attract manufacturing jobs."
30. What qualifies you as the best person to represent your constituents?
Bert Copple: "I believe I can do a better job than the incumbent who has been in office for 26 years. I’m a US Army veteran who served in Iraq, a home healthcare professional, a middle-class worker, a husband and father of two boys. I know what the people of my district are going through, and I’ll fight for them."
